London, England (WFN) -- A diamond researcher has some convincing reasons why diamonds aren't a girl's best friend.

"Janine Roberts' new book "Glitter & Greed: The Secret World of the Diamond Cartel" (The Disinformation Company) exposes the unromantic side of diamonds due to the "cartel" that keeps prices high and the human rights violations of diamond diggers."

"- Roberts has seen scientists "grow diamonds" using methane and oxygen which she says means diamonds are nothing more than "crystallized farts."

No kidding!  Check this fart news of the wierd out with your own eyes.  You literally have to see it to believe it.  Last month a fart in a jar from a "hot girl" sold for $71 on eBay.  This is no gag gift either.  A radio program broadcasts the making of this real girl fart being put into a jar.  The eBay listing includes an audio link along with the item description:  Hear Audio.  This is one of those things that you don't know whether to laugh or shake your head.  It had 24 bids.

An American Airlines plane made an emergency landing in Nashville after passengers reported the smell of sulphur from burning matches.

The matches were found on the seat of a woman who had attempted to conceal the odour of flatulence with the matches, Nashville airport authorities said.

All 99 passengers and five crew left the plane while it was searched.

The woman was questioned by the FBI but released without charge and allowed to board another American Airlines flight.

"It was determined that she was trying to conceal body odour," said Lynne Lowrance of the Nashville Airport Authority.

She had "no malicious intent but had struck matches which is against [Transport Security Administration] rules," Ms Lowrance said.

The unidentified woman had an unspecified medical condition, Associated Press news agency said.

She was carrying safety matches, which the TSA allows in carry-on luggage.

The matches are not allowed to be struck, however.

Farting Turtle Sets Off Fire Alarm After Eating Brussels Sprouts

A turtle at the Sea Life Centre in Weymouth, UK set off emergency alarms after eating brussels sprouts when it's flatulence created bubbles so big they splashed a sensor. Marine biologist Sarah Leaney raced to the aquarium only to find everything quiet.

"When I got there, all seemed fine. I looked at the tube containing the sensor and saw a turtle beneath it. As I watched, a few large bubbles emerged from beneath him and rose to the surface next to the tube," she said.
   

"I realised what must have happened. We like to give all our animals a treat at Christmas and sprouts are a really healthy choice for sea turtles. But they do produce similar side-effects to those experienced by humans who eat too many sprouts."
